To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred.

17:27 Low Skellgate Close, Ripon A crew from Ripon were called to a person stuck in a lift. Lift manually lowered by crews to release female.

17:30 Priors Lane, Halton East, Skipton Crews from Skipton including the argocat and an Officer were in attendance at a fire to a railway embankment. This was a fire to 3 areas of grass measuring a total area of 20m x 4m. Hose reel jets and back pack sprayers used to extinguish.

17:45 Fulford Road, York A crew from York were called to assist with a person with mobility issues who was stuck on a minibus due to the rear doors becoming trapped. Crews removed removable chairs and used crew power to assist person out of the side door.

17:48 A19 N Ingleby Arncliffe Crews from Northallerton and an Officer were called to what was reported as a fire to a car with a horsebox attached. This was a false alarm and was a malfunction of the engine due to oil.

19:09 North Lane, Haxby A crew from Huntington were called to BBQ’s that were being used by youths. Crews gave advice and extinguished these using buckets of water.

19:51 Cod Beck, Osmotherley A crew from Northallerton were called to a fire around the edge of the reservoir. This was a fire to BBQ’s and was extinguished using buckets of water. Advice also given to members of the public who were swimming in the reservoir, on the dangers present.

20:02 Rawcliffe Ings A crew from Acomb were called to a report of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm and no fire was found.

20:24 Grange Lane, York A crew from York were called to a fire to grass measuring 7m x 4m. This was believed to be deliberate and was extinguished this using a hose reel jet.

20:25 The Grove, Norton A crew from Malton were called to a fire to bags of paper that had been stored for recycling. This was believed to be deliberate and was extinguished using a hose reel jet.

21:55 The Crescent, Northallerton A crew from Northallerton were called to a fire to hedge measuring 2m x 1m . This was believed to be deliberate and was extinguished using a hose reel jet.

22:43  A crew from Scarborough were called to a report of a loud bang followed by a fire sighted by some holidaymakers from a mile away. The crews were able to see the fire from the address given and proceeded to get close to the fire that was unreachable by road. Crews found this to be a fire to a fire to a mixture of straw and soil measuring 15m x 4m.

22:57 Picadilly, York A crew from York were called to a report of a desk fan that was emitting heat. Crews removed the fan in to the open and gave advice.

23:39 Austwick A crew from Settle were called to a report of a fire sighted in the open. This was controlled burning and no action was taken by Fire Service.
