To ensure that people are not identifiable from our incident round-up, we will no longer be providing street names for smaller towns and villages, where incidents have occurred. 

Crews from Selby responded to reports of a vehicle leaking Diesel. Crews moved the vehicle from the road side and removed the majority of the diesel from the carriageway using one hose reel jet and drizzit pads.

Both crews from Selby responded to reports of a fire in the open. This resulted in a fire consisting of garden and household waste measuring 30 meters by 4 meters. The fire also had 3 cylinders involved. The fire was extinguished and the cylinders were thoroughly cooled off by crews using two hose reel jets, pitchforks and a thermal imaging camera.

Crews from Harrogate responded to reports of a washing machine on fire which had been extinguished by the home owner. Crews investigated using a thermal imaging camera and assisted the home owner in removing the washing machine from the property.

Acomb crew responded to reports of a faulty boiler. After inspecting the boiler advice was given to the occupant to contact the housing association.

Crews from Boroughbridge responded to reports of two persons who had become stuck in a self store unit. Both persons had managed to get out of the unit of their own accord prior to our arrival.

Crews from York and Huntington responded to reports of a building on fire. This has been identified as a single storey building being used as a garage on fire. The incident is still ongoing and we are currently using two hose reel jets to extinguish.

Crews from Northallerton, Skipton, Selby, Malton and Acomb all responded to automatic fire alarms sounding during this shift. These resulted in false alarms.
