The incident involves a single decker bus
A busy road in Exeter is currently blocked due to a bus fire. According to roads traffic and monitoring service, Inrix, the road at Countess Wear is partially blocked due to the incident between A3015 Topsham Road and A379 (Matford Roundabout).
Speaking to DevonLive, a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "This was a single decker 50 seater bus that was 70% damaged by fire. All persons were off the bus and it pulled in by the South West Water treatment works.
"We used one hose reel jet, two breathing apparatus wearers, compressed air foam system (CAFs) and small tools to put out the fire. We have now left the scene."

Devon and Cornwall Police have also confirmed that they were called to the scene in order to close the road. Police say the incident has now been handed over to Highways.

In a statement on their website, a spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Recue Service said: "Fire Control were called to reported of a bus on fire that had pulled over on the side of the road. When the crew arrived on scene they got to work to extinguish the fire with the use of 1 Hose Reel Jet, 1 Compressed Air Foam System and small tools.
"The fire is now out and the care of this incident has been left in the hands of the police. "

Motorists on one of Exeter's busiest road have been told to expect delays tonight as it will be closed for several hours. Devon County Council has said that the A379 Bridge Road will be shut from 6.30pm to 12midnight.
The closure is being set up today (April 7) in order to allow the Canal Bridges to open for a convoy of boats. On top of this, recent technical issues will also be looked at.
A tweet from Devon County Council says: "A379 Bridge Road Exeter, Canal Bridges - bridge opening. The bridge will be opening for a convoy of boats, and due to some recent technical problems, there will be a full closure on Bridge Road from 18:30-00:00 Tonight."
